Me, myself and I - reflecting on how this year has Me, myself and I - reflecting on how this year has changed us. It’s hard to digest it all, isn’t it? I’m fascinated by how we’ve adapted our behaviours. What we accept as reality now. What we deny. What we look away from. What we hope for. Who we care most about. Who has cared most for us. How have we held ourselves together? For me it’s primarily been a psychological challenge. But for so many it’s been a question of life or death. I’m thinking about those who are grieving and the incredible doctors and nurses who are working so hard to save lives right now. Looks like we’ve got a few more months of vigilance ahead. Let’s protect each other as much as possible. Sending love to you on this New Year’s Eve. Stay well. #fragmented #layers #pullingmyselftogether
Isolated completion, Dec 2020. This year, for me, Isolated completion, Dec 2020. This year, for me, has mostly been about solitude and solidifying. Somerset has bestowed many gifts of extraordinary beauty, but being on my own a lot of the time has profoundly challenged me. It has also deepened my creative practice in exciting new ways - I’ve had so much space to reflect and develop. The dominant feeling is one of being brought full circle back to myself, like I’ve completed a cycle of some kind. It feels mysterious right now. What will emerge from the protected chrysalis? When I look back, I hope I’ll see how this year has allowed me to build a stronger foundation for myself. I’m grateful not to be alone this Christmas, but I know lots of people are, and my heart goes out to them. The themes of self-protection and protection of others are still strongly present. Sending love to you for a cosy festive time. Happy Christmas. Here’s to more togetherness in 2021. #LEOonpaper #isolated #completion #protection #separation #evolution #growth
